Early Life
& Passion for Music
German-American singer-songwriter Jules Renner was born near Philadelphia in 1995. Her introduction to music began at the age of 5. Classically trained on the piano, she found herself drawn to emotional, lyrical music and began writing her own songs at the age of fifteen - (although none of THOSE songs have made it to the studio ;) She taught herself guitar in college and began writing as much as she could. Her most listened to song currently on Spotify, "Shadows" was written in 2014 at the end of her freshman year.

Jules' debut EP "Daisies" is influenced by the likes of Daughter, Ben Howard and The National and showcases delicate vocals, cinematic strings, and story driven lyrics. It was produced and recorded by San Fermin frontman Allen Tate and includes string arrangements by nationally touring ensemble, Little Kruta.
"To Climb Mountains" Jules's 2nd EP's slight shift in style is represented through strong piano and melody lines, reflective lyrics, as well as various ambient instrumentals with the help of artist and composer Sean McVerry.
Recent singles
While songwriting proved challenging during the pandemic, Jules created ways to find herself again and began writing songs once more in the spring of 2022. Her style has been pulled back to the original acoustic that she began with, her voice has become stronger and more confident within her lyric writing and her vocals themselves, and there is an added "floaty" quality to the one-take guitar and vocal recordings, thanks to producer Allen Tate.
